More to know:

Ecuador and Germany have been working together for decades

For two decades, student exchanges have taken place between several Saxon schools and the German School Alexander von Humbolt (an institution founded in the late 1950s by German settlers and teachers Renate Collmann de Lembke and Fritz Witte.) in Guayaquil, the largest and most populous city in Ecuador.

The school is our starting point, the neuralgic center of our activities in Ecuador.

Our project has always been a successful cultural exchange, allowing students to learn about Ecuadorian culture themselves as an introduction to Latin American society while improving their Spanish skills.

program in Ecuador

In addition to visiting cultural sights in Ecuador, the students will attend classes at the German School Alexander von Humbolt.

As part of the student and cultural exchange, the students will live and be cared for by an Ecuadorian host family with children who are also studying at the school.

Itinerary in Ecuador.

Below we present the travel and residence plan for German students in the Republic of Ecuador.

It is noted that the itinerary may vary depending on the unforeseen dates of the German School Alexander von Humbolt or other circumstances beyond the control of the organizers.

Guayaquil, the pearl of the Pacific

Guayaquil, the host city of the German students, is the largest and most populous city in Ecuador and the country's most important port, economic and industrial metropolis.

With more than 3.1 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area, Guayaquil is the most cosmopolitan city in the country and welcomes not only the German but also the American, Spanish, Italian, Lebanese, Palestinian, Jewish, Colombian and Venezuelan communities.
